The Semper Fi Service Dog Training Program

Heal Our Troops America has been providing our Semper Fi Training Program since 2015. Our training is group training which is great socialization for the dog and veteran. 

Beginning Training: Raising a Puppy (includes SDIT identification card) 

Intermediate Training: Basic Dog Commands  

Advanced Training: Service Dog Commands (includes SD identification card) 

To graduate you must pass the following canine quizzes, as we strive to have a quality, fully comprehensive, and complete training program:  

AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification 

The Service Dog Handler Etiquette Quiz 

Public Access Test - SHORT 

FINAL - The ADI Service Dog Public Access Test

We understand that every dog is unique, which is why we offer customized training programs that are tailored to meet the specific needs of each dog and their owner. Many dogs come to us with basic training, so often training can be completed in an accelerated fashion.  Our trainers work closely with you to identify the areas that need improvement and develop a training plan that is effective and enjoyable for both you and your dog.

Usually service dog training costs approximately $3,000 or more. As a nonprofit, we offer this program to our veterans at a greatly reduced price.   Payment can be accepted at the beginning of each class.
